The Rules and Guidelines of the ATC.com Forums:
1. Spamming will not be tolerated. There are no exceptions to be made. If one of the Administrators comes across any posts that they deem to be blatant spamming of any kind, then they will be removed and (possible) further disciplinary actions may be taken.
Sentroid Amendment: I dunno about the rest of the mods here but I personally reserve the right to edit, lock, move, delete, or suspend any threads or accounts I find as being spam-worthy. For more info go here
2. Try to carry yourself and your posts with a level of respect for other members. Excessive flaming will not be permitted. Any in violation of this rule will be subject to any actions an administrator may deem necessary, depending on the severity of the case.
3. Disrespect toward the Administrators of the forums, the owner of the site or anyone else affiliated with it is not advised. While we allow (and encourage) free & unhindered speech from our members, we'd like to maintain order and we hope that any "beefs" with the site (or its staff) will be contained to the appropriate section of the forums (i.e. Comments/Suggestions). All we ask is that you state things in a slightly diplomatic manner. Harsh rudeness and otherwise outright insults will result in unfortunate consequences.
4. Piracy is a crime. Any mention of illegal bootlegging, file sharing or unauthorized copying of materials that are not meant to be duplicated will be removed from the forums. What any members choose to do privately on their own time is none of our business; just remember that it doesn't belong on the forums.
5. No pornographic material and/or images are to be posted on the forums. While most of the members may be old enough to handle viewing such images and visiting sites of that nature, there are still exceptions and out of respect for those who object to it, we try to keep things on a relatively clean level.
6. When starting a new thread in a particular section of the forums, make an attempt to check for a similar topic in order to avoid creating a duplicate (which would then be subject to deletion). This helps keep the forums uncluttered and saves others from having to run across a redundant thread.
If you cannot find it on your own, then it is strongly advised that you use the search feature of the forums.
7. Decisions made by the Administrators (i.e. to ban a particular member who continuously causes problems) are final. Posts regarding these decisions (like the possible debate of whether the ban was placed with just cause) will be subject to removal. Just because you might happen to be good friends with a trouble-maker doesn't mean they deserve to be absolved for acting like a lamer.
8. Using the threads of the forum to discuss matters personally in a stream of constant replies directed toward only one individual in particular will not be permitted. If a moderator or administrator comes across posts of this nature, they are at liberty to remove the posts and dispense suitable disciplinary action depending on the severity of the case. This is a discussion forum, not a chatroom. If you wish to chat, then chat in the designated chat room only!
---
Any failure to comply with these rules and guidelines will result in account deletions, IP banning or any other such actions that an Administrator may deem fit to take.
If there are any questions regarding something detailed here that you may have, then we advise you to contact an Administrator via PM.
Also, if you may have a complaint toward a particular member, please contact an Administrator with the nature of the problem, where it might be located and the account name of the member so the Administrator can look into the matter more in-depth.
*Please note that these rules are subject to change. The basics will remain, but it is strongly recommended that you make an occasional visit to see if any amendments or new additions have been made.
Thank you,
The ATC.com Staff
