ATHFCMFFT: NYC Premier (April 10th, 2007)
A not-so brief discussion/review of the film from one of the unofficial authorities on the show.
(w/ pretty pretty pictures)

As everyone knows, Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film For Theaters does not come out until this Friday. However, I was fortunate enough to be invited to the New York Premier of the film on behalf of one Mr. Dave Willis. At first, Dave had invited most (if not all) of the staff from ATC.com to the premier, however only a couple of us live in the NY/NJ area... and only 2 of us weren't busy (or missed an important math class for the opportunity to see the film... that would be me.)
Both Smaddy and myself arrived in the city around 6:30-ish and went straight to the Chelsea West Theater. Shockingly, we were the first ones in line waiting to get in. While we waited we were entertained by the antics of Brian and Stewie Griffin... and eventually the Aqua Teens themselves. Around that time is when Dana Snyder and Jay Edwards arrived who then greeted us and went into the movie theater after a bit. Doc Hammer and Jackson Publick from The Venture Bros., and comedians Todd Barry (the voice of Romulox) and Jon Glazer (who plays a CIA agent in the film as well as Oog and Jerry) also showed up to watch the film. Then Dave and Matt arrived as we moved into the theater.
After a bit of getting free popcorn and soda... and then a bit more of having phones and cameras confiscated and being patted down for stuff (It is NYC after all,) we moved into the theater to watch the film. Afterwards there was a really fun after party at a burger joint with milkshakes, burgers, and little Meatwad candies.
About the film...
... words cannot express how excellent this film is. The first thing I should mention is... anything AICN has posted regarding spoilers, etc. leaves nothing to the imagination of this movie. I went in thinking that at least 90% of the movie was spoiled for me... I was totally wrong. I'll try to spoil as minimum stuff as possible, but I think these are all the key points of the film...
- The entire film focuses on the Insanoflex as seen in the trailer, clips, etc.
- The Plutonians and Cybernetic Ghost play a big part in the film. Mooninites, not so much.. but still quite a bit. Dr. Weird is the main villain.
- The origin... was awesome... and also interesting... i'll leave it at that. You'll see what happens. :)
- Expect the unexpected. :D
That's all i'll really say about the film. Like I said, it's an excellent movie and to be perfectly honest... it was the equivalent of watching an entire season. Whether you loved or hated this past season, you will definitely love this film.
P.S. to AICN, Cartoon Brew, and any other news outlet who think they ruined, defamed, and argued that the only kind of people who "get it" are the ones who are on marijuana... well, I say this:
